Academic Affiliations:

1. Manipal Academy of Higher Education- We have a strong relationship with the EM residency program and have worked on several research collaborations and actively involved with resident and faculty exchange programs. We have been involved with their wilderness program and disaster preparedness program along with working in research with their leadership. We also have a strong association with the department of Infectious Diseases at this site and continue to do collaborative work with them. We have had several of their faculty attend the Global Health Research Collaborative strengthening their research capacity.

2. All India Institute of Medical Sciences- We have worked on several projects with this premier medical institute and the goal is to apply for collaborative grants we have also facilitated exchange programs and trained several of their residents, faculty and nurses in research, helping develop their research capacity. We have also been working on improving the ethics of Global Emergency Medicine Research with the leadership including presenting at SAEM didactics in collaboration with this premier institute from South Asia.

3. Believers Hospital- We have developed a strong collaboration with Believers Hospital (BCMH) and have worked with them in creating the 1st International Conference on Awareness Preparedness Response Recovery and Resilience in Disaster Management. This will be a collaborative effort between Wayne, John’s Hopkins and BCMH and will bring together leaders from the area to prepare a disaster preparedness team for the region.

4. Fortes Hospital, Kolkata- We have been working closely in several projects with the EM leadership at Fortes Hospital system and presently put together a manuscript in the state of Emergency Medicine in West Bengal.

Community Affiliations:

1. Pardada Pardadi Educational Society (PPES) : We have been in partnership with the NGO PPES since 2016 and have conducted a needs assessment in the rural village of Anupshahr near New Delhi. This needs assessment has led to the development of the Community Health Education Initiative which is an ongoing health education in the rural community.  We have secured grants and hope to work on making this a meaning contribution to the rural community. We are presently conducting a dental hygiene intervention in the school and community. We have a health center in the village where we have sent students and residents to assist and develop intervention programs.
