Medical Education Fellowship

This fellowship is geared towards the graduating emergency medicine resident planning on pursuing a career in academic emergency medicine. The purpose of this fellowship is for the fellow to gain a diverse understanding of medical education including the education of medical students, residents and faculty; understanding the learning theories that underscore adult learning; understanding how to properly conduct medical education research and how to evaluate the quality of others' research; how to properly assess learners and provide appropriate feedback; and how to competently undertake the creation or revision of curricula. Upon graduation from this fellowship, the fellow will be prepared and competent to pursue a successful career in academic emergency medicine.
